AVI 20 - Students are aksed to get their calligraphic verses done to complete this category in mark book. Students are completing Op Art and Canadian retropective paintings before we move into pastel work and printmaking.
AVI 30 - Students are working on a watercolour painting of their choice then moving on to posterizing an image in either black and white or colour. Homework sketches are ongoing.
Students are asked to check their lists.
AVI 40 - Students are asked to regularly submit their write ups and projects on 20th century art movements.
KALAN - Students are collaging make believe characters this week then moving into stenciling.
They will also be attending a performance of Charlie Brown at Governor Simcoe as drama appreciation.

March 17 - 25th
Happy Easter to all.
Kablan - 101
Students are creating plactine scenes inspired by Canadian artist, Barbara Reid . Our first project in this media is soon to be complete. Stay tuned for the display.

Students are finishing their drawing of Michelangeo's Pieta - just in time for Easter. By now, all should have chosen an 8 - 12 line poem or song for their illustrated calligraphy project. Lots of time for catch up during Easter. Get hopping. Also remember your new sketch with the subtraction theme.
AVI 30 -
Students are just finishing a large picture balancing portraiture with words - alternatively, an animal with ribbons of motion.
Think about our drapery project for your return. Do your weekly sketch with subtraction as theme.

Students - remember to be working steadily on your independent project of 2oth century art movements. Impressionism is NOW DUE!

KALAN - 01
What a great group of kids! This week students are painting with ink, string and pastels. We will also be modeling in plasticine shortly.

Students are finishing large drawings this week. In addition, we are looking at the work of Caravaggio. See me for this handout, if you didn't receive it. Save all your art notes. There is a final exam.
